Fortnite not updating, download stuck or slow solution. If your Fortnite is not updating, the first thing to do is to check the Epic Games status page. If there are known server issues going on, they are usually visible on the page. Game Services and Epic Online Services is what you should pay attention to on the page. Fortnite decompresses its update files as it continues to download, which can make the process take longer than it should. This process requires the full attention of your CPU and SSD/HDD. . # That's not even the most annoying thing about it. The most annoying thing is that this made console was never meant to get updates for one single game. I'm trying to download the latest fortnite update () and it says there is not enough free space when I have GB left, and I need to delete GB. what the hell? don't tell me this update is over 75gb. Click Start and then Settings. Click System. Click Storage. Look at your Local storage bar to see how much space is available. In this image, you can see that this PC's hard drive has GBs of free space. Note: Scroll down to More storage settings, and then click View storage usage on other drives to see additional storage disks if you have any. Like i would have 20 GB and would want to download lets Say Minecraft(just pretend) which is lets say 10gb. It would tell me i need more space, after freeing up 50+ GB then it would let me download it. Edit: My hypothesis, is that the ps4 needs that extra space for game/software updates but honestly i dunno, its kinda stupid if you ask me.
