Don't install DLC or game to external hard drive. Turn off feature to install PS4 games to external drive in the settings. Delete game from system and download to PS5 internal hard drive. Next download DLC after game has installed fully, after you can transfer full game to external hard drive. If the DLC doesn't download successfully or is unplayable, try downloading the DLC again. Be sure that your PlayStation account allows you to download content. You might need to Restore your PS4 license.
